It’s crawfish season! And if you live in Memphis, you’ve been waiting for this. If you’re looking for help tracking down the best places to get your fix, we’re making it easy. Here are some of the best spots around town (including a few food trucks) where you can gather your nearest and dearest for a crawfish feast. As a bonus, we’ve included a list of upcoming crawfish festivals around the 901!

The Bluff

Hours: Daily, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Combining sports, brews, and crawfish is the perfect recipe for a great weekend in the South. The Bluff has crawfish every Saturday from 11 a.m. until they run out. Pricing starts at $18 for a two-pound platter. You can also snag a bucket of beer for $15. Win-win!

Crawfish Cabin

The intersection of Walnut Grove and Houston Levee • (901) 674-8978
Hours: Saturdays and Sundays, 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Located at the intersection of Walnut Grove and Houston Levee, Crawfish Cabin is typically open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The delicious cooked crawfish runs $8 a pound, and you can also pick up a pond of shrimp for $15. For $3 per side, you can also include corn, potatoes, or sausage. If you’re looking to host an at-home gathering, you can also place a larger order for pickup by calling or texting  (901) 674-8978. The eatery accepts cash and Venmo.

Crawfish Shack

Crawfish Shack is a mobile food trailer offering crawfish with all your favorite “fixins,” like potatoes, corn, and sausage. You can find the truck at different locations each weekend, so follow along on Facebook for updates on where it will appear next!

Flying Fish

Hours: Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. 

Not only does Flying Fish have delicious catfish and hushpuppies, but they’ve stepped up their seafood game by adding crawfish to the menu. Be sure to call ahead to check for availability, as these are a hot commodity. And don’t forget your to-go margarita!

Railgarten

Hours: Wednesday and Thursday, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Closed Monday and Tuesday

If you’ve never been to Railgarten, the time is now. With picnic tables, live music, outdoor games, frozen drinks, and more, it’s the ultimate playground for adults. And when you add crawfish to the mix … well, you may never want to leave. Check it out beginning at 11 a.m. every Saturday and Sunday.

Crawfish Festivals

April 6, 2023: Wolf River Crawfish Boil

Ducks Unlimited hosts the Wolf River Crawfish Boil on April 6, starting at 6 p.m. A $50 ticket includes event entry, one year of a Ducks Unlimited membership, all-you-can-eat crawfish, and all-you-can-drink beverages. Youth and couples tickets are also available, along with sponsorship tables. For more information, click here.

April 16, 2023: 30th Annual Rajun Cajun Crawfish Festival benefiting Porter-Leath

The Rajun Cajun Crawfish Festival will be held on April 16, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Downtown Memphis (on Riverside Drive between Jefferson and Union). You can look forward to live music, games, arts and crafts vendors, and more. For more information, click here.

April 22, 2023: Overton Square Crawfish Festival

The Overton Square Crawfish Festival is back! Get ready for crawfish from Bayou Bar & Grill, beer, live music, local artists, and more. This event is free and will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, click here.

April 22, 2023: Bluebird Nature Fest and Crawfish Boil

Head to Bobby Lanier Farm Park in Germantown on April 22 for all-you-can-eat crawfish! The event will begin at noon. There will be food, activities, and live music. For more information, click here.

April 29, 2023: Blues for the Blue Crawfish & Blues Festival

On April 29, Blues For the Blue will be filled with live music, drinks, good eats, and more from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets start at $125, and all proceeds from the event will benefit the Southaven Police Department’s Benevolence Foundation. Each wristband includes all-you-can-eat crawfish and four drink tickets. (This is a 21+ event.) For more information, click here.
