Transitional months are so much fun — you can actually watch the season change around you. Blooming flowers, lingering late sunsets, and people on the street looking more lively and colorful by the day. We’re jumping on the bandwagon with a fresh round of Memphis FINDS for your home, wardrobe, and buffet table!
CLOTHING & ACCESSORIES
Kasey dress
A gauzy white dress is a timeless warm-weather must-have, and this breezy, easy-to-wear version is perfection for the coming months. Dress it down with sneakers and a ball cap, or elevate it for dressier occasions with wedge heels and statement jewelry. You can find this piece at Oak Hall, available for $158.
Tote bag
Infuse your day-to-day with a dose of cheerful pastel! This jelly tote bag is available in several shades, including mint (pictured here), peach, yellow, and berry — it’s great for farmers’ market shopping, storing your pool essentials, toting game day snacks, and more. Snag one at City & State for $32.
Bathing suit
If you’re in the market for an updated swimsuit, Indigo is a great place to start. We’re loving this cap-sleeved one-piece swimsuit for transitional weather! It’s perfect for layering under a skirt or a pair of shorts and hopping between the pool, lunch, shopping, and wherever else the day might take you. It’s available now at Indigo for $120.
Ruffle top
This billowing seersucker top makes a subtle statement and is SO easy to throw on with jeans for an instantly put-together look. Wear it loose and flowing, or tuck it in the front like the model pictured here. Get yours at Pickering Boxwood for $102!
Belt bag
Whatever you like to call them — fanny packs, belt bags, or sling bags — these convenient little bags are still on-trend. Wear them across your chest, over your back, or around your waist for a lightweight, stylish way to tote your essentials. Great for walking, hiking, and running errands! This one is available in four neutral shades at Silk N Honey for $25.99.
Strapless bra
Undergarments have the ability to make or break an outfit, and with a season full of strappy (and strapless) tops and dresses to come, it’s time to make sure you’re outfitted with the right bras. This matte seamless bra, available at A Fitting Place for $76, features foam cups and a padded band for comfort. Plus, their team will make sure you find the right fit. (You’d be surprised how many people are wearing the wrong size bra!)
Fresh flower crown
We couldn’t resist including these flower crowns! As we head into a season that’s guaranteed to be packed with graduations, bridal showers, birthday parties, and more — this is such a sweet gift idea to keep in your back pocket. What better way to make a gal feel special on her special day? You can order these in a color scheme of your choosing at Everbloom, for $50 each (or call the shop if you’re looking for something more elaborate).
FOOD & DRINK
Springy pastries
The spring pastry menu at 17 Berkshire is almost too pretty to be true! They’re offering a line of extra-special pastries stocked daily in their cold case at $7 apiece. We recommend the white chocolate raspberry profiteroles, pictured here, but they have a little something for every taste. If you’re a chocolate lover, go for the salted caramel French silk! Their seasonal pastries are available in-store for $7 each.
Buttercream cookies
Keep Primas Bakery in mind for special occasions, too! The adorable buttercream cookies pictured here are only a taste of what their team can do with a batch of frosting. They specialize in elaborate, brightly colored designs, but they’re happy to work with custom color combinations. Order these buttercream cookies from Primas for $24 per half dozen.
Peach lavender shrub
For the cookout and cocktail party circuit, it’s wise to keep a batch of premade cocktail mixers on hand. This peach-and-lavender shrub offers layers of flavor to otherwise simple combinations (like vodka and soda water, for example). This concoction offers fruity-herbal sweetness thanks to peach and lavender, plus a tangy bite thanks to the vinegar base. Farm2Cocktail shrubs are available at Grind City Grocer for $16 each.
Candied pickle sticks
Keep people guessing with your charcuterie spread! Everyone loves a dill pickle, but these “candied pickle sticks” are a happy marriage between salty dills and sweet bread-and-butter pickles. Next time you’re looking for unexpected varieties of jams, pickles, and sauces, visit A.Schwab — these pickles are available for $8.98.
Brittle
Great for gifting and even better for snacking, this brittle is hard to put down. The top seller at Dinstuhl’s Candy, the ‘Cashew Crunch’ brittle is made with pure cane sugar, fine grain coconut, and of course, plenty of cashews — available for $22.95 per pound at Dinstuhl’s.
HOME
Signature-scent candle
We love to mark a new season with a fresh scent! This Rose from the Ashes candle was created exclusively for Paradox at PeCo, so it’s in limited supply — the scent is infused with “delicate antique rose, white musk, and fresh vanilla in a delightful oriental melody.” Snatch one up at Paradox for $47.95.
Serving dishes
If you’re looking to refresh your hosting arsenal now for the coming season, take note of these adorable serving bowls! The sleek white base paired with fun bamboo accents is the perfect combination for a casual-but-chic setup. Snag one or both of these cuties at RSVP Stationers: $51.95 for the chip and dip tray (left) and $49.95 for the large serving bowl (right).
Happy shopping, Memphis!
