Better Bodies Yoga

Founder Karen Moss opened Better Bodies Yoga in 2004 and has a passion for healing the community through the use of mind, body and spirit modalities. Dedicated to fostering a nurturing, welcoming, non-judgemental and feng shui environment, Better Bodies Yoga specializes in teaching Hatha Yoga and Halo-therapy. Open 7 days a week, their schedule is specifically designed to meet their students’ needs by offering a wide variety of levels from therapeutic sessions to advanced classes. All instructors are 200+ Yoga Alliance Certified, attuned to the ability of their clients and committed to making every patron feel empowered and appreciated. At the end of each yoga class, Better Bodies Yoga dishes up an extra dose of TLC by giving their signature final relaxation to each student, which consists of a warm towel over their eyes, and a shoulder and foot rub! If you struggle with allergies, coughs, colds, the flu, sleep apnea or stress, the Salt Cave at Better Bodies Yoga can help alleviate the symptoms of these conditions as well as many more. The Salt Caves also house a heated salt bed coupled with halo-therapy that is especially helpful in relieving muscle soreness, psoriasis, eczema, acne and chronic pain. The Great Yoga Wall® provides an additional and beneficial experience of support for all levels of students from new to advanced including therapeutic students with the use of straps, bars and various other props that attach to the wall. With a calming outdoor yoga space that has ten flowing fountains open in the warm months for yoga classes and taught by caring and knowledgable instructors, Better Bodies Yoga is welcoming, relaxing and designed to facilitate a transforming yoga practice and lifestyle.

Reviews:

“I have been to other yoga studios on and off for ten years and BBY is by far the best! I suffer from chronic pain, and the instructor made sure to read about my health issues and asked questions to better understand what I need!” – Kelsey P.

“Everyone is patient and kind. The instructors are so helpful. New to yoga, I didn’t know what to expect. However I felt very comfortable and welcome.” – Jesse C.

“Great openness and support to work at your own level. Excellent instructors who offer a nicely variable experience in class. Very different instructional styles that provide good choices.” – Linda B.

SB Tip:

Better Bodies Yoga shows their passion for the health and well-being of the community by offering free yoga classes to people currently battling cancer and cancer survivors and they have also recently partnered with Love Your Brain to offer free yoga classes to those with traumatic brain injuries.
