You might be asking yourself: “Hey, I thought happy hour was illegal in Atlanta. So how could StyleBlueprint be featuring a happy hour Atlanta article?!” Well, you are right. Sort of. The technicalities of Atlanta’s drinking laws are stickier than a spilled Lemon Drop, so we’re not going to waste our time analyzing the legalities and idiosyncrasies of sipping a cold one at a certain time of day. In fact, it was only a few years ago that we all made a beeline to our local liquor store to celebrate the end of the Sunday alcohol sales ban. Let’s face it—this city is weird when it comes to booze.

However, we’ve included a list of our favorite establishments offering some type of happy hour/weekly special and bucking the technicalities. If you’re perusing this list and don’t see your favorite watering hole listed, keep in mind that some bars and restaurants strictly follow the state/city rules and don’t promote a classic happy hour. But we think (or hope) that one day, this law will go the way of the (drunken) dinosaurs, and we can all freely enjoy discounted drinks and tasty snacks. So leave the office a little early, grab an Uber ride and check out some of these awesome Atlanta happy hour hot spots!
